This PVC knife coating machine series is a high-precision coating equipment specifically designed for high-strength industrial products such as heavy-duty PVC tarpaulins and membrane structures. Employing an advanced knife coating process, the machine achieves precise gap control between a rigid doctor blade and a backing roll, uniformly applying PVC paste resin onto high-strength substrates including polyester woven fabric and warp-knitted mesh fabric. The blade system accurately meters and removes excess paste, retaining a coating layer of the specified thickness. The coated substrate then passes through a multi-zone hot-air oven to complete plasticizing and crosslinking reactions, ultimately forming a dense, uniform PVC composite coating material with excellent physical and chemical properties.

The core system features a rigid alloy doctor blade assembly, enabling micron-level coating thickness control with an accuracy of ±5 μm. It supports two backing modes: knife-over-roll and knife-over-air-cushion, which can be flexibly selected according to substrate characteristics to prevent substrate damage. The doctor blade tip features a comma-shaped optimization design, effectively eliminating bubble/streak defects caused by divergent flow and significantly improving coating surface smoothness.

For tension control, a fully automatic tension control system ensures that the substrate maintains constant tension during high-speed operation. Paired with an automatic edge position control device, it achieves high-precision coating alignment.

The drying tunnel incorporates a multi-zone independent temperature control structure, with temperature deviation within each zone controlled to ± 5°C. The hot air circulation efficiency exceeds 85%, reducing energy consumption while ensuring uniform plasticizing of the PVC coating.

The entire machine is equipped with a PLC programmable control system and an LED human-machine interface, supporting digital setting and storage of process parameters for rapid product changeovers.

The equipment offers a coating width of 2500–3500 mm (optional) and an operating speed of 5–30 m/min. It can handle PVC paste resins with high solid content and high viscosity. The resulting knife-coated fabric features high saturation, brilliant colors and smooth surface, along with excellent properties such as high strength, good flexibility, oxidation resistance, acid/alkali resistance, and low-temperature tolerance.

The machine is widely used in fields such as fields such as new materials for outdoor products, architectural membrane structures, tent products, waterproof canvas, and special industrial fabrics.
